Impulsive Culinarian’s Seared Tuna Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Tuna Steak
- Plenty of Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Dairy Free Margarine
- 1 Shallot, peeled & sliced
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat
- Season both sides of your tuna steak with a generous amount of kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper
- Add coconut oil to the hot skillet
- Sear the tuna steak for around 45 to 60 seconds on each side
- Using tongs, quickly sear all 3 sides of the tuna steak for around 5 to 10 seconds each
- Remove skillet from heat and let cool for 1 minute
- Add margarine to the skillet
- Add sliced shallots to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally for around 2 minutes
- Slice the seared tuna into 1/2 inch slices
- Drizzle onions and margarine on top of the tuna and serve immediately
