This is one of my favourite times of the year, when spontaneous cooking can be made even more delicious by taking a short trip to the garden for some freshly picked herbs, snipped, cleaned and then added to whatever’s cooking.
The intoxicating aromas of freshly picked sage, thyme, oregano, chives and many others are so rewarding. Even fresh parsley is fun to have on hand just to make things look a bit more fancy or colourful.
Fresh Herbs All Year?
I think we may need to consider some kind of indoor method of growing fresh herbs during the winter months; sounds like a fun new IC project to me!
