What comes to mind when I think of stoemp, slowly cooked onions, fresh leeks and minced garlic mixed with silky mashed potatoes and a tasty broth/wine reduction. All of this comes together as the ultimate side for any good Western European home cooked meal.
While you have your onions out, why not use them to even more delicious effect by sauteeing a few extra for a lovely Flemish cod casserole!
